Musical Theatre Performance
Expand your Musical Theatre repertoire! Students will be given an overview of the history of Musical Theatre with a strong emphasis on vocal production, lyric & song analysis, audition skills and "song in scene" study, all leading up to a public performance. You will come away with at least 2 new songs under your belt, a repertoire list customized to you and a broader knowledge of the world of Musical Theatre.
When: July 20th - September 7th
Time: Mondays, 3-5 p.m. (class days & times will be adjusted once school resumes)
Saturdays, 3-5 p.m.

Monologue & Scene Study
This 6 week course will guide you through exercises designed to introduce you to various acting styles and improvisation. Through this fun and informal setting, you will learn how to ground yourself in your acting technique, strengthen your voice and movement skills and spark your imagination towards character preparation. All students will work on at least one monologue and one scene.
When: July 20th - September 7th

Peggy Trecker White holds a BFA from the University of Michigan's prestigious Musical Theatre program and an MFA from American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University. She has trained with some of the greatest international theatre artists including Joe Dowling, the current Artistic Director of The Guthrie Theatre and previous Artistic Director of the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, Dario Fo, the renown Italian playwright and Nobel Prize winner and Oleg Tabokov, one of the most recognizable Russian actors and the Artistic Director of the Moscow Art Theatre. A member of Actor's Equity Association for over 15 years, Peggy has been seen on stage all over the United States from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Chicago and New York, as well as internationally in Russia, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Credits include the Broadway National Tour of Miss Saigon, Wonderful Town with Lucie Arnaz, Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man, Oklahoma!, A Chorus Line, Merchant of Venice and the title roles in Hamletmachine and Miss Julie. Peggy relocated to Hilton Head Island in the fall of 2007 from New York and has worked extensively with South Carolina Repertory Company. She will be directing Gutenberg! The Musical! for them this summer.
